GHS NEWS

GHS - Back for 2021

Happy New Growing Season!

Message to our members from our President, Peter Davies:

Activity on the Woodlands Allotment site has been intense. I suppose lockdown has been responsible for this, but the hot summer we have just had has not helped with the germination of seedlings, especially with carrots and runner beans.

I would like to say a special 'Thank you' to Paul Collier and his team of helpers for keeping the Potting Shed open though out the year so that all the stocks have been used and not wasted.  We have new stock for 2021, including seed potatoes, so please continue to use this facility!

Let us all hope that this year will be better all round now we have the new vaccinations in the armament against Covid 19 and its mutations.

In the meantime - remember to stay safe!

The Show may not have gone on ......

But Jim proved he knows his Onions!!!

'Here we go again! Yet another year gone  since I last wrote to you.  What a year it    has been, Brexit, Covid 19 lockdowns, and all our social activities - the Open        Allotment Day and the Spring and Autumn vegetable and flower shows - all cancelled.                                                What next, I ask myself?
